Above National Radiators
i kinda hate the internet, but i thought i’d post this - there will be free vegan food! tomorrow, come out! maybe play music?
we’ve been looking for a new location. came close a couple of times, if you have any leads please let us know. in the mean time we started putting on shows with our battery system, there will hopefully be a few more until it gets too cold.

Just a quick hello! we moved the rest of the sad rad stuff out of national radiators on sunday. street fighter 2 and ninja turtles are now at plan b, still set to free play. we’ve had a lot of leads on prospective spaces and will hopefully have something figured out soon.

LAST SHOW @ SAD RAD
8:00 pm sharp / 5$/pwyc

this night is open for any bands to play. even if you’ve never played a sad rad show, here’s your chance. we’ll have drums & some amps for anyone to use. show up, write your band name on the list, play for ten minutes & then stick around all night!
if you’ll remember back in february, sad rad organized a band lottery draw. basically random folks put their name in a hat & all the names got picked & weird bands were formed on the spot. this night will be the debut of those bands. don’t miss out!
100% huge thanks to the punks & weirdos in this city who have made a project like sad rad possible, as well as the excellent people at national radiators for being allies & supportive.
you’re all apart of this! own it!

We had a lot of fun above national radiators! thanks to everyone that helped out, put on events, played shows, and stopped by.

Saturday March 2nd, presentation by members of Stand

The Working Class: still the Frankenstein it always was…but with some re-engineering

Saturday, March 2, 2pm - 4pm Sad Rad (5820 Young St.) Above National Radiator

FREE, with complimentary coffee as well

The working class…does it still matter? What about the “revolutionary force” it was once characterized as having? Well, the working class is still kicking. It is still the monster produced by Capital and as long the capitalist system exists, so does this monster that can destroy it, albeit with some significant re-constitution of its body to serve the interests of the system.

This presentation will uncover some basics on early ideas about the working class and its character, and will explain its revolutionary nature and changing shape and definition as capitalism and antagonism against it have co-evolved up to the present.

Finally, we will spend about half the presentation examining current possibilities, exploring the idea of the revolutionary worker. Join us for the presentation and discussion.
